UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Result Out for Prelims 2023! The mains examination will be held on 24th and 25th June 2023. The prelims exam was conducted on 19th February 2023. The UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Official Notification was released on 21st September 2022 for 285 vacancies under the Geological Survey of India and Central Ground Water Board Categories. The Union Public Service Commission conducts a variety of highly important recruitment examinations one of which is the Combined Geo-Scientist Exam (CGSE).

The Union Public Service Commission has released the UPSC Exam Calendar 2024. As per this calendar, the UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Notification 2024 will be released on 20th September 2023. The Prelims exam will be held on 18th February 2024. For details refer to the PDF attached below.
UPSC has released the UPSC Combined Geo Scientist results for prelims on 3rd March 2023. The prelims was conducted on 19th February 2023 and the mains will be conducted on 24th and 25th June 2023.

Among the above vacancies, none of them have been reported for PwBD candidates.
The candidates can apply for the UPSC CGSE Exam from 21st September 2022 to 20th October 2022. The direct link to apply and steps on how to apply are provided below.

Step 2: In Part - I registration, applicants will have to enter all the personal information like name, date of birth, etc.
Step 3: After the completion of this section, verify all the entered details and then proceed to the next part.
Step 4: In Part - II registration candidates have to upload the scanned documents like educational certificates, ID proof, photograph, signature, etc.
Step 5: Select the choice for the examination center.
Step 6: Candidates can finally click on the “I Agree” button and submit the application form after filling in all the details. The applicants can have a print for future reference.

The UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist eligibility criteria do not specify any specific limit on the number of attempts for the aspirants. Thus, candidates can take as many attempts as they wish to until they reach the maximum age limit.
The UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist eligibility does not state any kind of minimum experience required to appear for this exam.
The candidates who are aspiring for the UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist exam should refer to the UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist syllabus before they start to prepare for the exam. The syllabus will provide a direction for your preparation. The syllabus for the first paper of the preliminary exam, that is, the general studies paper is common for all streams. Whereas, the UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist syllabus for the second paper of the prelims as well as all the papers of the main exam are stream specific. The standard of the questions is maintained similar to the coursework of M.Sc. that is required to be eligible for the post.

The Commission has stated that the interview carries 200 marks. No marks distribution of the UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist exam pattern is provided for the interview.

One can follow the steps given below to download their UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist 2023 Prelims Admit Card.
Step 1: On the UPSC website, head to the Admit Card section available on the Home Page.
Step 2: Select the examination as UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Prelims Exam 2023.
Step 3: You will be asked to download the instructions. Download them and get a printout. You must follow those instructions while at the exam centre.
Step 4: Once you press the button to Download Admit Card, you will be prompted to log in with either your Registration ID or your Roll Number. Choose the desirable option.
Step 5: Enter your credentials and press Submit. Your UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Admit Card will now be displayed on your screen.
Step 6: Download the document and get multiple prints of the admit card.
The in-hand UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist salary for a candidate accepted at the post of Geo-Scientist will be around INR 50,000. The in-hand salary is the sum of basic pay, grade pay, and other allowances. Along with these additions, a deduction for the provident fund is also made.
